CalGeo is kicking off a short and sweet 2-part course on Instrumentatio n starting Thursday November 5th. The second session will be held the follo wing week on Thursday November 12th.
Lead by Geokon's Geotechnical Se rvice Engineer, Rob Clark, this series will focus on Inclinometers.
< strong>November 5th, Inclinometers 101: Installation and Monitoring Techniq ues
This webinar provides a summary of the inclinometer moni toring system and will include a discussion of inclinometer components, sug gested methods for installation of the inclinometer casings, and suggested methods for performing manual measurements with inclinometers. The materia l is intended to provide a basic overview of the instrument and help guide the user in getting the most value out of a properly selected and installed inclinometer system. Subsequent webinars will delve deeper into the plott ing and evaluation of the data associated with the inclinometer.
This webinar provides a continued discussion of the use of t he inclinometer system. In the first half of this discussion, inclinometer data evaluation and plotting examples will be shared, along with identifyi ng and dealing with common errors that can develop with the inclinometer sy stems. The second half of this webinar will be a presentation of case hist ories with examples of some good inclinometer experiences and some not so m uch.
