ASCE-Geo Institute Inland Empire Chapter Dinner Meeting

We are excited to present a talk by Dr. Zhangwei Ning on State of the Practice in Construction Instrumentation and Monitoring. Dr. Ning is a geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring expert and the area technical manager with Sixense Group in Northern America. He received his B.S. and M.S. in Civil Engineering from Tongji University in China, and his Ph.D. in Geotechnical Engineering from North Carolina State University. Dr. Ning has extensive experience in study and observation of soil behaviors using both numerical method and near real-time instrumentation and monitoring techniques, with a multi-scale perspective. He has participated in a wide range of monitoring projects as technical lead, including: tunnel, deep excavation, bridge, dam, landslide, landfill, etc. Dr. Ning currently serves on ASCE Geo-Institute Underground Engineering and Construction Technical Committee, and DFI Project Information Management Systems Technical Committee.
